If you are a fan of To Your Eternity, then here is a bit of good news for you! Back on October 15, 2023, the popular anime made it official: Season 3 is coming October 2025 as part of the Fall anime season.
In addition to this news, the producers have also confirmed that they have plans for a Crunchyroll stream of the show, which has been difficult for many non-Japan based fans to get their new season, if not on time as the Japan airing.
The series; adapted from the manga by Yoshitoki Oima; first ran in 2021. Its unique concept and emotional storytelling proved to be a hit, and support quickly came flocking. The second season followed soon after the success of Season 1 and was also well-received. This naturally resulted in an official confirmation of a third season in 2023 — but so far, there hadn’t been any major updates. That silence has finally been broken with the most recent announcement.
To Your Eternity Season 3 Release Date
While we don’t have an exact release date just yet, we do know that it will be on the Fall 2025 anime schedule, which typically starts in October. And the official streaming partner for the anime, just like with the previous seasons, will be Crunchyroll, with a full rollout of episodes expected.
How about the cast and the staff?
There’s yet to be an official announcement as to who will direct or animate Season 3. This is especially important since Season 1 and Season 2 had different directors and studios. The first season was directed by Masahiko Murata at Brain’s Base, while the directors and studio for Season 2 were Kiyoko Sayama and Studio Drive, respectively.
Although the core team members remained the same across the first two seasons, fan did notice some differences in how Season 2 looked and felt. So now, it’s all about what path the production team will chart, for Season 3.
What Is To Your Eternity About?
To Your Eternity is not a run-of-the-mill anime. It begins with a mysterious “orb” arriving on Earth. This orb has two abilities:
It can take on the shape of whatever bothers it.
It can die and then return to life.
The orb evolves from a rock, to a wolf, and finally into a boy named Fushi. The story tracks Fushi’s emotional passage through learning about humanity, love, loss, and survival. This anime is quite different than most with deep emotional storytelling and heavy life lessons.
Final Thoughts
If you have not checked out To Your Eternity yet, now would be a great time to begin. You can watch both Seasons 1 and 2 on Crunchyroll, and they will brace you for the emotional roller coaster that Season 3 is sure to be.
We hope to bring you more news soon as we fast approach October!
