Studio Ghibli, the Japanese animation studio that Yearley co-founded with the now-retired Hayao Miyazaki, has delighted moviegoers globally with its magical offerings. It is now easier than ever for viewers in India to catch these masterpieces.

Netflix India Streaming Studio Ghibli Films

As of February 2025, Netflix India has available a stream of Studio Ghibli movies. Subscribers can stream “Ponyo,” “The Cat Returns,” “Castle in the Sky,” “Earwig and the Witch,” “Arrietty,” “Whisper of the Heart,” “Porco Rosso,” “Pom Poko,” “The Tale of The Princess Kaguya,” “Only Yesterday” and “My Neighbors the Yamadas.”

“A Boy and a Heron” has also been released on Netflix India alongside “Grave of the Fireflies.”

Global Streaming Availability

Netflix has the rights to stream 21 Studio Ghibli films in some territories worldwide, including in the U.S. and Japan. This partnership will allow these classics to be enjoyed by audiences around the globe.”
