Squid Game Season 2 trailer drops. The season, which takes place three years after the victory, adds new players and tries to delve even deeper into themes of morality and survival.
The wait is finally over, and ‘Squid Game’ fans can see the official season 2 trailer. The trailer was shared by official account of the globally popular series. The new season will premiere on Dec. 26.
Seong Gi-hun (or Player 456, as he’s referred to in the trailer) is back in the deadly Survival arena. Expect more drama, more anxiety and more life-or-death in the next season.
Gi-hun, performed by Lee Jung-jae, explains his comeback in the teaser. His clear response to the question of why he’s returned is, “I’m trying to put an end to this game.”
Seong Gi-hun returns with a mission after winning the deadly games after Season 1. Armed with the terrifying insight into the true nature of the games, he seeks to rescue the lives of other players by persuading them to opt-out and put an end to the fatal competition.
Internet users are excited about Squid Game Season 2 after seeing the trailer.
Even after watching the teaser, the shout “ONE MORE GAME!” still makes me shiver. It revealed to me that Gi Hun is addicted to gambling, which is why he was invited to play in the past despite being a nobody. Now, he is here to assist those in need who were in a similar situation to himself, not to earn the award.
“I welcome the notion of Gi-hun taking charge and serving as a mentor to the players.”
“There are no words to describe how HYPED I am for season 2,” another said.
