Marvel Rival Leaks Continue to Surface With Possible Teasers for New Maps
Marvel Rivals players are interested in what to anticipate from the hero shooter as Season 1 of the game quickly approaches in the New Year. Fortunately, leakers have been working diligently to uncover information in the game’s files that has provided players with some intriguing Season 1 and later updates. The main focus of this has been on new heroes and villains joining the roster, but there is now news about maps.
Season 0 of Marvel Rivals only has eight maps at this time, all of which are based on comic book and MCU locales. Convoy, Domination, and Convergence are the three game styles for which these maps are designed. The Marvel Rivals maps as of right now are as follows:
Now, some datamined content about new maps has been revealed by reliable leaker MRivalsUpdates, who is also in charge of all the hero-related leaks. Four maps are presently being developed:
Empire of Eternal Night
Arakko
Krakoa
New York
Other than the names in the game files, not much else is known about the maps. The names might be altered, or some of the intended content might potentially be postponed or canceled entirely. However, MRivalsUpdates did offer a notion regarding Empire of Eternal Night, pointing out that the description of Cloak and Dagger connects it to the map of New York: “The pair emerged to find New York under Dracula’s control.” Soon after, they fought alongside the valiant resistance against the Empire of Eternal Night.
Because of this, some players questioned whether Cloak and Dagger will receive lore-based cosmetics on top of the map. More potential possibilities were mentioned by another gamer. According to game lore, the Timestream Entanglement causes Arakko and Krakoa to become one. Because of this, these places will most likely be Conquest maps, much as Hydra’s three mini-maps. Fans are thrilled about all of the future content, which delves deeper into the stories of different heroes and brings classic Marvel places to life, even though nothing has been confirmed yet.
Unfortunately, it is also unknown whether the maps will be included in Season 1 or if they will be released later in 2025. These four locales could very well be the new maps that Marvel Rivals will acquire as part of the update that comes with Season 1, as developers confirmed.
