“Dexter: Original Sin,” the hit prequel series, has officially been renewed for season 2. The move follows the series ranked as Showtime’s most-streamed original in a decade, with the finale drawing 2.68 million global viewers overall — a 30% bump over the premiere.
And Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played Tanya Martin — Miami Metro’s CSI chief and Dexter’s superior — is already confirmed to return for Season 2. Though Gellar was credited as a guest star during that first season, her character struck a chord with audiences.
