In an alternate world in which devils are conceived from human fears, the narrative revolves around Denji, a young man who makes a deal with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita. The plot follows the young man, whose simple wish of living a normal life is turned upside down when he joins the ranks of the enigmatic Makima’s elite squad Public Safety Devil Hunters.

The manga currently consists of 19 volumes while the anime has a single season. It features voices in the English-dubbed version from Ryan Colt Levy (Komi Can’t Communicate), Suzie Yeung (Marvel Rivals), Reagan Murdock (Spy x Family) and Sarah Wiedenheft (The Devil is a Part-Timer!! ). The show was met with great acclaim, garnering a 97% critic score and 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
