The movie will open in Japan on September 19, 2025, ahead of international rollout. Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc Fans have been clamoring for a movie since the smash-hit anime, and this film aims to deliver an action- and emotion-filled plot faithful to the Reze Arc, one of the most famous arcs from the Chainsaw Man manga.
A New Direction With a New Visual Aesthetic
The movie does have a different artistic flavor than the first season. This time under the direction of Tatsuya Yoshihara, the animation will use brighter, more vivid colors and a closer, manga-like style. We’re trained only on data up to Oct 2023.
What to Look Forward to with the Reze Arc
The film follows the chainsaw-wielding hero Denji as he meets Reze, a pivotal new character. Combining action-packed sequences, blood-fueled emotion, and a hint of romance, this arc was a show-stealer during the manga run and one of the most famous arcs in Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original series.
