Marvel enthusiasts have something else to anticipate. Ruaridh Mollica, who stars in HBO’s “The Franchise,” has been added to the cast for the Disney+ series focused on Vision.
He will portray Tucker, although it is not clear whether this is a new character or an alias for someone known in the Marvel universe.
Mollica is joining a star-studded lineup that includes Paul Bettany reprising as Vision, James Spader back as the villain Ultron, Faran Tahir as Raza from the original “Iron Man” movie and Todd Stashwick in a secrecy-shrouded role. The series is produced by Kevin Feige; the executive producer and head writer is Terry Matalas. This series is the second ”WandaVision” spin-off to be released, after “Agatha All Along.”
Details of the plot remain under wraps, but the new series is tentatively titled “Vision Quest.” In the comics, this plotline has Vision disassembled and his memory wiped after he had access to many computer systems around the world. This story was partly dealt with in “WandaVision,” in which Vision is rebuilt as White Vision by the organization S.W.O.R.D. after his death in “Avengers: Infinity War.”
“Vision Quest” will also explore former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird, as she accounts for her actions, and finds out that a group called Vigilance was behind the Ultron imposter that was sent to keep the Avengers busy. This enabled them to catch Vision. Later, she helps Wanda Maximoff retrieve Vision’s body. It was a worldwide concerted effort, an operation involving agencies such as the CIA, MI-7, and the KGB, to eradicate sensitive information of which Vision had access.
The new series is scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in 2026. The fans are curious to see what kind of new story this chapter brings to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
