28 Years Later

28 Years Later Teaser: Zombie In the suspenseful teaser for the Danny Boyle sequel, Cillian Murphy looms above Jodie Comer.

Based on the first trailer, the long-awaited zombie apocalypse sequel starring Danny Boyle and Alex Garland appears to be worth the wait, even though it is 28 years later.
The teaser shows Aaron Taylor-Johnson walking the verdant fields of England with a bow and arrow in a post-apocalyptic future, accompanied by the eerie sound of a Taylor Holmes recording of Rudyard Kipling’s military poem “Boots.”

The new film, which comes more than 20 years after 28 Days Later, seems to show Cillian Murphy’s character Jim in zombie form, towering over Jodie Comer’s character after he reportedly contracted the “Rage Virus.”
Although Murphy is an executive producer, it is unlikely that he will play a significant role in the sequel because the Oscar winner’s name is not on the advertising posters. 28 Weeks Later, the 2007 follow-up, did not include Murphy.
The tagline for the Sony Pictures film, which opens on June 20 and is the first installment of a 28 Years Later trilogy, is “Time didn’t heal anything.” Taylor-Johnson, Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Erin Kellyman, and Jack O’Connell are among the additions to the franchise. Garland and Boyle are producers, as are Andrew MacDonald and Peter Rice. Columbia Pictures, in collaboration with BFI, DNA Films, and Decibel Films, is the producer of 28 Years Later.
