An all-new look at the next sequel has been released by MAPPA’s Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation of the popular Shonen Jump franchise, offering fans a preview of what to expect from the upcoming Culling Game arc starring Yuji.

The planned Jujutsu Kaisen sequel, which adapts the “Culling Game” plot, was initially shown to fans during Jump Festa 2025’s Red Stage. Nevertheless, it is still unclear if this will be a movie or a third season. A new graphic for a planned “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc compilation film, which is scheduled for release on May 30, 2025, was also unveiled. Shota “Gosso” Goshozono, who directed Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, is anticipated to return for the sequel. Despite a hectic shooting schedule, his direction of the most recent season received accolades. Fans may relive the second season with Crunchyroll’s planned home release of Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident ahead of the Jujutsu Kaisen sequel premiere, which does not currently have a release window. Notably, the new Blu-ray edition, which includes the expanded edits of Sukuna vs. Mahoraga’s legendary matchup, will give viewers the same better animation as Japanese fans. Some exclusive extras, including an art book, are also included with the Blu-ray.

The first two seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen plus the movie precursor Jujutsu Kaisen 0 were available for streaming on Crunchyroll. After Season 2, Yuta Okkotsu, the movie’s main character, appeared and menacingly threatened to murder Yuji. Volume 17, which is licensed by VIZ in North America, is where fans may resume the series where the anime left off: “Itadori, who is being hunted down by Okkotsu and is on the verge of death, remembers a disturbing family incident from his past.
